Medical Device

Description
Sand casting, low pressure casting as well as shell mold casting can be used for manufacturing medical device. The raw materials include copper, aluminum, zinc, gray iron, ductile iron, cast steel, high temperature alloys and other materials.
The sand casting process uses a furnace, metal, pattern and sand mold. The metal is melted in the furnace and then ladled and poured into the cavity of the sand mold, which is formed by the pattern. The sand mold separates along a parting line and the solidified casting can be removed.
As a professional sand casting manufacturer and supplier, we possess advanced equipments, including imported Oxford spectrograph from Germany, tensile machine, sclerometer, CMM using British technology, low-pressure casting and centrifugal casting equipment, heat treating equipment, 5-axis and 4-axis machining centers, special processes and large-scale parts processing equipment.

Features of Shell Mold Casting for Medical Device
1. Sand casting utilizes expendable sand molds to form complex metal parts that can be made of nearly any alloy.
2. Shell mold casting or shell molding is a metal casting process in medical device industry in which the mold is a thin hardened shell of sand and thermosetting resin binder backed up by some other material.
3. Sand casting can produce large medical devices and form complex shapes.
4. Typical parts produced by using shell mold casting process include cylinder heads, gears, bushings, connecting rods, camshafts and valve bodies.
5. Sand casting has the good advantages of low tooling and equipment cost as well as short lead time.

Founded in 2010, Lantyto® is a domestic joint-stock enterprise specializing in research, development, production and sale of casting process, forging process and precision machined products.
