Ferrous Metal Casting Process

Description
The ferrous metal casting is the process where the metal is heated until molten. When in the molten or liquid state, it is poured into a mold or vessel to form the desired shape.
In metalworking, casting process involves pouring metal into a mould, which contains a hollow cavity of the desired shape, and then allows it to cool and solidify. The ferrous metal casting is often used for manufacturing complex shapes that may be difficult or uneconomical to make by other methods.
Ferrous metal casting has been used for thousands of years, and widely used for sculpture, especially in bronze, jewellery in precious metals, as well as weapons and tools. The casting processes include sand casting, lost wax casting, shell casting and precoated sand casting.

Application of Ferrous Metal Casting
1.The casting process can be used for the production of wear parts and components that are too large and complicated.
2.Our ferrous metal casting is commonly available for manufacturing engine bearer, engine manifold, cylinder cover and transmission case.

Advantages of Casting Process
1. There is no upper size limit to the weight of the metal castings.
2. The ferrous metal casting controls the structure and grain size of the foundries by adjusting the temperature distribution in different parts of the moulds.
3. This casting process can choose various alloys. The chrome, nickel and moly can be added at the molten stage.
4. Tooling is often less expensive than forge dies.
5. There is no problem for ferrous metal casting to produce complicated parts.
